Painted bollards, pylons
erected to
block vehicles, stand guard along the edge of a dock. Someone has painted them
to look like bathers with red and yellow swim caps, white shirts, and black
trunks. Two of them flaunt black eyes, as though daring some car or truck to
try to push its way past them.
